April 2024 Calendar of Events

Some events are fundraising and others are awareness raising!

Take a "selfie" in front of the butterfly wings, use the hashtag #RobbiesWorldBook and then we'll choose winners at the end of the month! You could win a free pizza, smoothie, ice cream, $50 in gas, coffee, a hair blow out, a massage, a gift from the gift store or or even the pet store! We will run a giant, month long 50/50 raffle at 5 stores, and all the fitness centers will be running special classes. After the month is over we'll hold our annual Blue Bar Crawl at 4 locations, then announce all the winners at the end.

Disclaimer:

We understand there is controversy in "Autism Land" over other Autism organizations, and their symbols, and language. Some prefer to say "Autism Awareness", others prefer "Autism Acceptance". Most people recognize puzzle pieces as the symbol for Autism, but others prefer an infinity symbol. Some people like to light up blue, and others light up red. Some people prefer to even say "Neurodiverse" rather than "Autism".  But we prefer to not takes sides or create division within the Autism Community. We should all work together to bring a message of love, acceptance and inclusion, and not fight over language, logos or colors. We asked the stores in town to light up blue. We use blue for Robbie! It was his favorite color and he wore blue all the time to match his blue eyes. He also loved the water, so blue lights create the feeling of being under water. Our foundation logo and shirts are blue.

So we light up blue in honor of Robbie, and nothing else.
